Fossil fuel pollution and climate disasters are already disrupting millions of lives worldwide. From fires, to floods, to hurricanes like Harvey and Ida, to the brutal winter storm we experienced last February in Texas, we are living in the midst of a climate emergency. We deserve a world beyond fossil fuels: a world where we can breathe clean air and drink clean water, where workers’ rights, community health, and our shared climate come before corporate profits. That’s why we are uniting to ensure all sectors — government, finance, and the Global Petrochemical Congress divest from extractive industry and invest in restorative and sustainable community-based solutions.
Indigenous leaders, pipeline fighters, water protectors, young people, scientists, faith leaders, and more are saying Enough is Enough: It’s time to finally place people’s lives and communities over fossil fuels.
Native and Black frontline leaders and their supporters ask you to attend on Monday, March 6 at 11:00 AM (Central Time) at Discovery Green in Houston or live online at https://www.facebook.com/TexasClimateEmergency.
